We welcome you in the heart of Vermenton, Burgundy, in a large 17th century mansion: an authentic and magical place full of history.
We imagined the place as a "Shared Country House", a place to live and socialize with two common kitchens, a large dining room for guests, leisure areas and a beautiful interior garden. It is a quiet, authentic and unique house, with all the luxury of great bourgeois mansions totaling 350m2 of living space, bedrooms of 35m2 or more, 3m high ceilings with elegant moldings...
It features state-of-the-art amenities: high-speed wifi in all rooms, connected televisions, stylish showers and bathtubs...
Our goal? To provide you with a timeless experience within the framework of green tourism, which favors local products and events with a zero waste policy.
L'Escapade Place Voltaire is a hybrid place:
1) A shared country house that belongs to you for the duration of your stay.
2) Sport-Nature getaways - we help you plan your activities: biking, canoeing, horseback riding or climbing!
3) Yoga workshops: once a month we organize a yoga workshop in groups of 8.
4) You can privatize the house for family reunions, private events, seminars...

ACTIVITIES in the village of Vermenton
 The Parc des Iles: a vast wooded area, located on the banks of the Cure, composed of seven islands connected by small wooden bridges. An enchanting setting for family walks along the water. |  Vermenton provides a magical setting for swimming in the river Cure and holding picnics and games... The setting sun on the opposite bank offers a unique show! |  500m from the house is the Canal du Nivernais: ideal for a walk, a bike ride or a canoe trip. |

 Try your hand at the boulodrome in Parc des Iles, 300m from the house: we even lend you the pétanque balls! Across the road, a small guinguette awaits for a drink, ice cream or a good meal. |  Halfway between the port and the islands, this wash-house was put into service in 1853. Supplied by an inexhaustible spring through two arms of water, this atypical place and its history are well worth discovering. |  On Friday morning the local market is right behind the house! The town has many artisanal shops, a supermarket and restaurants including the famous Meridien! |
